Tinjauan Literatur: MANFAAT STORYTELLING BAGI ANAK: REVIEW ARTIKEL

Abstract

Storytelling merupakan salah satu alternatif intervensi dalam asuhan atraumatik keperawatan anak di rumah sakit untuk mengurangi efek hospitalisasi. Anak yang menjalani hospitalisasi berpotensi mengalami stres dan kecemasan yang tinggi akibat bertemu dengan lingkungan asing, tindakan-tindakan medis serta berpisah dengan keluarganya. Telaah artikel penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberi gambaran kemanfaatan dan keragaman media storytelling yang dapat digunakan pada beberapa anak sesuai tingkatan usia. Studi literatur ini disusun dengan melakukan analisis terhadap artikel-artikel yang dipublikasikan dari tahun 2014-2020, fulltext dan berbahasa Inggris. Data diperoleh dari database Scopus,  ScienceDirect, Ebsco, Proquest dan Sage Journals dengan kata kunci hospitalization, child, pediatric, storytelling dengan hasil 10 literatur yang sesuai kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Pada telaah artikel penelitian ini menemukan beberapa intervensi storytelling pada beberapa tingkatan usia yaitu usia prasekolah, usia sekolah, dan usia dewasa dengan menggunakan beberapa media yang dipakai. Media yang digunakan di antaranya adalah dengan menggunakan buku cerita animasi, storytelling dengan menggambar, storytelling  dalam pengajaran di kelas dan digital storytelling. Storytelling dapat direkomendasikan dilakukan dengan menggunakan media buku cerita ataupun dengan media digital/perangkat komputer. Pemilihan media dapat disesuaikan dengan kondisi anak dan ketersediaan fasilitas serta tenaga yang mendukung. Berdasarkan hasil telaah literatur ini, disimpulkan bahwa storytelling dapat menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan intervensi nonfarmakologi untuk mengurangi efek samping dari hospitalisasi.
